Edmund Kwaku Gyasi

Founder & President

El Olam Foundation was instituted by the divine will of God through a conviction the founder had between the ages of 15 and 18 to care for the needy for the future. As the eleventh of fifteen children, he grew up understanding the challenges of life.

Mr. Gyasi is a banker by profession, having worked with the Ghana Commercial Bank Ltd (now GCB BANK Ltd) for 26 years (1986–2012). He voluntarily exited the banking profession to pursue full-time ministry as a man of God called to be an Apostle.

The vision became profound in the year 2000 while he was working at KNUST. Following the passing of an Elder in his church who left behind four children, Mr. Gyasi felt a strong urge to support them and their widowed mother. This act of kindness sowed the seed for what would become the El Olam Foundation, officially registered in 2001.

For 17 years, the foundation was primarily funded by his personal salary and income. Over time, with the support of like-minded individuals such as Rev. Seth John Acquaye (World Vision International Ghana) and Mr. Louis Akwasi Gyamfi, structured policies and systems were put in place to expand the foundation's reach.
